Mi Querida Familia deNuestra Señora de Lourdes,
La Cuaresma ha comenzado.
El Miércoles de Ceniza, toda
la familia parroquial se reunió para "arrepentirse y creer
en el Evangelio". Al recorrer el Vía Crucis, acompañamos
a Jesús en su pasión y muerte y estamos ahí para
compartir su resurrección. El Vía Crucis del viernes es
una oportunidad para hacer ese recorrido juntos, pero
también existe la posibilidad de hacerlo por nuestra
cuenta y en pequeños grupos. La parroquia y la capilla
están abiertas desde la misa de la mañana hasta el final
de la misa de la tarde y tenemos estaciones tanto en el
templo principal como en la capilla. También tenemos
estaciones disponibles a cualquier hora en el altar
exterior, así como nuestras nuevas estaciones detrás de
nuestra Virgen procesional, que son accesibles para las
personas en silla de ruedas.
Este fin de semana hemos adelantado la procesión eucarística mensual al domingo después de la misa de la 1:30 pm para que el padre Daubanes, rector del Santuario de Lourdes, pueda estar con nosotros. Siempre es una alegría tenerlo aquí y será el celebrante principal de la misa en español de la 1:30 pm.
Mirando hacia la próxima semana, quiero destacar la Misión Parroquial de Cuaresma. El padre Eduardo predicará la misión este año. Es mi costumbre pedir al nuevo vicario parroquial que predique la próxima Misión de Adviento o Cuaresma. Esto nos da la oportunidad de conocerlo mejor y le permite profundizar más en la predicación de Cristo de lo que es posible en una homilía dominical. El padre Eduardo predicará la misión en inglés el lunes, en español el martes y en francés el miércoles.
Qué bendición es esto para nosotros.
