Third Sunday of Easter | Bulletin of May 04, 2025 Word from the Pastor

My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

The Youth and Young Adults Ministry at Our Lady of Lourdes is thriving and doing very well. It is approximately 90 strong and organized in 4 age based groups as follows:

• LITTLE SPARKS, for those in Elementary School
• SHIELD for those in Middle School
• SPIRIT LIFE for those in High School
• and The 72, for our Young Adults.

Spirit Life, the High School group, is our oldest youth group. As we saw last weekend, it is a large and active youth group and among its other activities, it plans and runs the annual Spirit Day Confirmation retreat for the Office of Religious Education of the parish.

They meet once a week and are led by a Group leader and a Core Team which also meets once a week to plan their activities. The leadership team meets once a month with Daniel Elie, our Ministry Coordinator, who is responsible for the overall direction and activity of the ministry.

Maribel Castillo has been the Group Leader of Spirit Life for many fruitful years and will soon be “retiring” from her position. I want to congratulate and thank her for the blessing she has been to us, especially our young people. Maria Rosero her assistant, is also stepping down to finish her master’s degree. With Maribel’s retirement and Maria leaving, we are looking for a volunteer to step into the role of Group Leader of Spirit Life.
