Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed (All Souls) | Bulletin of November 02, 2025 Word from the Pastor
My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,
This weekend we are celebrating the Solemnity of All Saints on Saturday, November 1st and the Commemoration of All Souls on Sunday, November 2nd. The vigil Mass on Friday evening and the 8:00 a.m. Mass on the 1st will be the Mass for the Solemnity of All Saints. This year, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation.
Thevigil Masses of Saturday evening and the Masses of Sunday will be the Commemoration of All Souls. The Commemoration of All Souls is when we remember allour loved ones who have gone before us:we thank God for them,commend them to His bountiful care,and look with hope to being with them again when the Lord calls us to Himself as well.
This year,our special Mass of Remembrance will be on Sunday the2nd at 6:00 p.m. There will be no 5:00 or 6:30 pm Masses that evening. The Mass will be multilingual and will include a special remembrance of our fellow parishioners who have died in the past year and of their families. There will also be a Book of Intentions in the vestibule of the church where we can all add the names of loved ones who have died.
What a beautiful way to start the month: looking to heaven,thankful in love and filled with hope.
