Welcome to our parish Latest News

Seventeenth Sunday in Ordinary Time | Bulletin of July 26, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger

My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

This is the summer of the Scouts!
We just had a nice contingent joining other youth and young
adults from the parish on the June pilgrimage to Lourdes,
they were on our July 4th bulletin cover, and it was a great
blessing to have them with us. They have also been on the
cover of our bulletin these past three weeks. This week I will
explain…

Last week Lucas was on the cover of the bulletin with the 11
new Vocations Chalices that he made for the parish as his
Eagle Scout project. And just in time! There have been
Masses where we did not have a chalice to pass on to a prayer
partner. Now we are well supplied again. All the same, please
remember to return the chalice after your week of prayer so we
can all have a chance to participate.

The week before that, it was Julian’s Eagle Scout project on
the cover. As I write this, we are only awaiting the installation
of the statue for the Respect Life Meditation Garden focused
on the beginning of life to be complete. It is so attractive that
we have already had people stopping by to pray.

This week the cover is Andrew’s Eagle Scout project. It is still
in its early stages, but it will be a Respect Life Meditation
Garden focused on the end of our earthly lives and the final
call home to the fullness of life in the love of God.

Over the years, our Scouts have helped to create prayerful
opportunities for us that we can access at any hour of the
day or night. Let us congratulate and thank them for their
generous gift of themselves and encourage other young people to join their ranks!.
