Welcome to our parish Latest News

Seventh Sunday of Easter | Bulletin of May 17, 2026 Message from Msgr. Schwanger

My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,

Pentecost is coming!
Next Sunday we celebrate the Lord Jesus sending down His Spirit upon the Apostles making them His mighty witnesses and missionaries to all the nations. The Spirit of Christ joined the Apostles to Him and to each other and they went out to the world for Christ, not alone, but together.

Pentecost is celebrated as the birthday of the Church. We, the Body of Christ, have been confirmed in that same Spirit. We have been joined to Christ and His Apostles, and we too go out to the world for Christ, not alone, but together. For that reason, Pentecost Sunday is when we have our Ministry Fair in Our Lady of Lourdes Hall. It is our opportunity as a parish family to renew our commitment to Living the Faith by renewing our choice of service in and with the parish for the coming year.

The Ministry Fair is an opportunity to visit with our various parish ministries to learn more about their work and the people they serve. There is certain to be a ministry for you! One through which you can help to bring Jesus to the lives of others. Please come and see. Take advantage of having everyone in the same place to find your place. Take advantage of having everyone together at the same time to make this your time.

You will find a brief description of the work of all our parish groups and ministries in our new Ministry Guide which is being distributed at all Masses this weekend. There, too, you will find contact information should you wish to follow up with or to join a particular ministry. Please take one home and review the various ministries of the parish to help discern your call for the coming year. The Ministry Guide can also be found on our website.

There is certain to be a ministry for you! One through which you, together with your parish family, can bring Jesus to the lives of others.

Come Holy Spirit, renew the face of the earth!

Msgr. Schwanger
