Girl Scout Gold Award Project: Restoring a School Garden & Pond

Hello Parish Family,
My name is Audrey Dominguez, and I am a Girl Scout Ambassador currently working toward earning my Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest honor in Girl Scouting. For my project, I am restoring a neglected pond and creating a garden at Felix Varela Senior High School.

This project will provide students and staff with a peaceful outdoor space where they can learn, reflect, and connect with nature. The garden will also serve as an educational resource promoting environmental awareness and supporting mental well-being.

To bring this project to life, I am organizing several fundraisers to help cover the costs of plants, flowers, seating, signage, and fish.
