Christ the King - Solemnity | Bulletin of November 23, 2025 Word from the Pastor
My Dear Family of Our Lady of Lourdes,
Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Thanksgiving, from the very beginning, has been a time of coming together. Even in today’s busy world where families are spread around the globe Thanksgiving has kept its power to draw us back together - to appreciate the family and friends that we have and to give thanks. I invite the whole family of Our Lady of Lourdes to come together on Thanksgiving Day for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The 10:00 Mass will be the only Mass of the day, and we will have the great blessing of having our Children’s Choir with us for Mass.
We will designate the collection that day for the support of our ministries that help the poor. The ministries that serve the poor will be serving us that day as well. They will be serving pie and cider to us after Mass in the turnabout at the main entrance to the church. Please stay long enough to have a slice of pie and wish each other a Happy Thanksgiving. As you can imagine, pie for all of us will be a challenge so they can use your help. As usual, I will make the cider. When you are baking (or buying) your pies for Thanksgiving please bake (or buy) an extra one and bring it with you to Mass on Thanksgiving Day. Remember to bring, as well, the bread and wine you will have at dinner. We will bless it at the end of Mass.
