Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary
We consecrate ourselves in order to be more devoted to the Lord and His Blessed Mother. It helps us grow in holiness. It is a method of drawing closer to Jesus. It is a lifestyle of complete abandonment and entrusting ourselves to Mary's care, to offer ourselves more fully to Christ and be formed into "other Christ's."

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Each week the Archdiocese of Miami’s Safe Environment Office will offer snipets from Virtus bulletins shared in the last year. Virtus training is a child sex abuse awareness and prevention program that begins with a live training session and continues with monthly bulletins, which are required of all clergy, employees and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Miami.
“Ratters” are people who use Remote Access Tools (RATs) or “malware” to take over people’s computers and spy on them through the victim’s webcams or built in cameras. Malware stands for “malicious software,” which is a program designed to infiltrate computers, tablets, or smart-phones for a variety of purposes and without the users consent.
As technology continues to change rapidly, all of us charged with protecting children must continue to stay abreast of the new programs and applications that may be used by predators to manipulate and exploit children.

Plenary Indulgence Granted to Schoenstatt
The International Schoenstatt Family wishes to share that as part of the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Schoenstatt work, our Holy Father, Pope Francis, has granted a Plenary Indulgence to all Schoenstatt Shrines throughout the world. This includes the Schoenstatt Shrine in Miami in the Archdiocese of Miami.
Below is part of the decree translated into English from Latin:
“The Holy Father grants a Plenary Indulgence under the usual conditions, to all members of the Schoenstatt Work and to other faithful who celebrate the jubilee, provided they are truly sorry for their sins and align their hearts with the spiritual goals of the Year of Faith. The prescribed conditions for gaining this indulgence apply (i.e., sacramental confession, Eucharistic communion, and prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father). This Plenary Indulgence can be granted from October 18, 2013 until October 26, 2014 if the aforementioned devoutly participate in any of the meditation and conclude with the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed, and invocations of the Three Times Admirable Mother, Queen and Victress. This indulgence can be granted during the specified period of time on any given day in Schoenstatt, on the scheduled jubilee days in Rome, and in all Schoenstatt shrines throughout the world.”
